If that is the all tournament team, they only select from teams that make the final 8. No asian or african teams made the final 8. That doesn't explain Totti though, but Ballack hasn't even been as good as Totti.

Back to your issue .. I assume the "Golden Boy's" goal which eliminated the Socceroos,was the main factor in his inclusion.He's also been responsible for taking the majority of free kicks and corners for the Azzurri,in which he's helped trigger several goals.

One has to admit...#10 has come a long way since suffering that harsh injury back in February,whether it's relevant or not.

That's my take,fwiw.

I don't even know how to edit a post once it has been posted so if it was edited it was not by me. I like Italy and I like Italian people. I really felt (incorrectly) that they were way over rated and would not have a good WC. Maybe thats why I am pointing out this team of the tournament as being a farce. Totti has played, he did score a last second penalty and his team has reached the final but he and his play in no way are deserved of this kind of recognition. He is the golden boy of this Italian team and that is the only reason he is on this XI. I think it's BS.
